Pirates have the option of including a single pet in a portrait. Pets appear the same regardless of whether the pirate is male or female, and do not change the pirate's pose - they simply stand or sit in front of the pirate. Pets may also be included in group portraits, however each pirate may only have one pet each. One-pirate and two-pirate portraits show only a limited portion of the pet.
