A unicorn is a type of pet. Unicorns were first introduced with the release of gold boxes in April 2012.

A black or shadow unicorn may be won by opening a Series 3 black box, first released in June 2012. Series 3 black boxes were only available for sale from black markets until the end of April 2013, but any unopened Series 3 box might still contain a unicorn.
