Biography

Jacobey (jah-KO-bee) began his pirate life on the Midnight Ocean in July of 2004. Working very hard, he quickly excelled at shipboard life but ran afoul of a dishonourable captain who demanded payment for officer training and 10% of all future booty cuts. Fortunately for Jacobey, he had made the friendship of the captain and mates of Palaemon's Pirates who offered him a spot in the crew and free training. Quickly completing officer training, Jacobey was awarded the rank of senior officer and the title of taskmaster in September of that year.

Times were good, gold was abundant but a sudden storm in January of 2005 changed everything - the crew's captain and flag monarch was lost at sea. Jacobey awoke that fateful morning to find his friend Blarnybill now captain and the monarch's crown for Midnight Phoenix upon his own brow. A short time following the fateful storm, at Jacobey's behest, the crew was reborn as Phoenix Fury.

Jacobey had never sought the responsibility of being a monarch but carried the duties for eight months until it was decided to merge flags with the pirates of New Providence. Prior to surrendering the crown, Jacobey commissioned the war brig Phoenix as a memento of the occasion. The Phoenix now serves as the crew flagship.

During his time as monarch, Jacobey was bitten by the mercantile bug and in quick succession opened an iron monger, distillery, apothecary and weavery on the islands of Spring and Tinga which he ran lucratively until the Spring of 2006. Jacobey also became an avid navigator and quickly finished memorizing all of the Midnight Ocean in short order.

In April of 2006, Jacobey's crew Phoenix Fury joined the flag Moonlighting. Soon after Jacobey was made a lord within the flag and was awarded the title of first mate in his crew.

In July of 2006, Jacobey hosted Jacopalooza at his new estate on Epsilon to celebrate his 2nd piratey birthday.
