Beartooth has been a pirate on the Midnight Ocean since December 2005. He is currently a senior officer of the crew Glubber Lubbers, and a member of the flag Riot.

History

  • July 2005 - Beartooth pirate created on Cobalt Ocean.
  • September 2005 - Cobalt Ocean Beartooth pirate left dormant.
  • December 2005 - Beartooth pirate created on Midnight Ocean.
  • April 2006 - Joined Otherwhen crew.
  • September 9, 2006 - Created second iteration of Lunar Rogues crew. (The first iteration is discussed below)
  • October 10, 2006 - Lord of Water Sleeps.
  • October 27, 2006 - Prince of Water Sleeps.
  • February 24, 2007 - Left Water Sleeps and created Terran Empire.
  • February 26, 2007 - Left Terran Empire and joined Broadsiders.
  • March 20, 2007 - Merged Lunar Rogues with Menacing Storm.
  • June 18, 2007 - Menacing Storm left Broadsiders and created Ominous Storm.
  • July 1, 2007 - Beartooth decided it was time to part ways with all the lovely folks in Menacing Storm and join those in Good Omens.
  • August 29, 2007 - Certain issues arose, leaving him little choice but to leave those fun folks.
  • August 30, 2007 - Missing all those fun folks, he decided to join another Riotous crew, Lunatic Saloon.
  • October 3, 2007 - Policy changes at Riot made him change his mind about Riot. After an opinionated outburst, he was demoted to cabin person, which he took to be a sure sign of no longer being welcome in the flag and crew.
  • October 4, 2007 - After being told that no alts at all were allowed in Look to Windward, he joined Start Wearing Purple, another Blighted crew.
  • October 6, 2007 - A compelling idea convinced him to rejoin Riot with The Black Navy.
  • December 20, 2007 - Certain undisclosable issues led to him switching to yet another Riotous crew, Glubber Lubbers.
  • January 23, 2008 - Ethical disagreements required that Beartooth switch back to a previous crew, Lunatic Saloon.
  • Mid-May, 2008 - Loneliness lead him to leave Lunatic Saloon (again) and rejoin Glubber Lubbers.

Biography

Early history

In August of 2005, the player behind Beartooth was introduced to Puzzle Pirates, and he played on the Cobalt Ocean for about a month. Various personal issues arose, however, and he did not start playing again until December. At that time, he created a Beartooth pirate on the Midnight Ocean and, as a non-subscriber, jobbed for the crew British Bandits. He joined this crew, and subscribed while still a member. Unjustifiably frustrated by the crew's slow promotion ladder, however, he joined another crew, from which he was expelled for trying to tell the captain, who will remain nameless, that he did not know what he was doing.

Another pirate, who will also remain nameless, had been expelled from that crew at the same time for the same reason, however, and together they created the oligarchic crew The Rogues. It was not too long until Reddwolf asked The Rogues to merge with his crew, Lunar Dogs. This merger occured, and lasted for several weeks. During that time, serious personal issues broke out between Beartooth, the captain of Lunar Dogs, and the cofounder of The Rogues.

Many other members of Lunar Dogs had been frustrated with the crew's leadership as well, and so Beartooth and Gabygirl, who had been a senior officer in Lunar Dogs, cofounded the crew Lunar Rogues in early February. A number of promising officers were recruited into this crew, and at one point, it had over 70 active members and Eminent fame. These pirates included Abbytater and Andrewjj, at whose wedding Beartooth officiated on April 9, 2006.

In the preceding months, however, many changes had happened within the crew. At first, Lunar Rogues had joined a flag called Hobos and Shmoos. The king of the flag, who will remain nameless, was captain of another fair-size crew. He requested a merger with Lunar Rogues, and seeing how many new members it would bring, the senior officers of the oligarchic Lunar Rogues agreed to accept the merger. Just before the final vote had been cast, however, the other captain changed his mind on the merger. It went ahead, though, and for a week or so the captain was fairly upset with Lunar Rogues' leadership.

Mid-to-late 2006

During this time, the aforementioned promising officers Andrewjj and Abbytater had become senior officers and quite influential in the crew's running. Various personal feuds had broken out, however, and in the end, Beartooth decided to leave the crew. He was quickly picked up by the very friendly folks of Otherwhen, where he remained a fleet officer for nearly five months. During this time, he acquired a great amount of knowledge relating to battle navigation, ship management, and crew management.

On Saturday, September 9, 2006, Beartooth made the very difficult decision to leave Otherwhen and take another shot at running a crew. This crew kept the name of his previous one, namely Lunar Rogues. With a lot of help from the friends he made during his previous time in Water Sleeps, the crew was invited to join Water Sleeps, and, after waiting the proper length of time, he was given the title of lord, and then prince.

After some time, internal conflicts arose, prompting Lunar Rogues to leave Water Sleeps. They joined Broadsiders, where they stayed until they merged with another crew in that flag, Menacing Storm.
