Apollo is an Ocean Master. He was added on September 28, 2005.

Along with Artemis and Bia, Apollo is an OM charged with helping to organize and assist players with special events. Forum events run by Apollo include creative events like the Pillaging Picasso contest, the Dead Letter Office contest, and the December Daily Doodles, run in December 2005 (forum thread), and December 2006 (forum thread). In-game events include introducing the Oceanmaster Lucky Dip event (2005 version and 2006 version) and regular duty puzzle bake-offs. He also runs the Olympic Champions League with Artemis.

Apollo has a black 'parrot' called Crow. When on duty, Apollo can usually be seen on one of two ships - the Golden Lyre or the Salmon of Doubt.

Mythology

In Greek mythology, Apollo was born to Zeus and Leto as Artemis' twin. Artemis was the goddess of the moon and night, and so Apollo was charged with the sun, daytime and light.
