Angels In The Midst was founded on May 7th, 2008, by Shellgames. Originally hailing from the crew Shell's Angels of the Midnight Ocean, she returned after a long rest from YPP and settled on a brand new ocean called Malachite.
The crew had a slow start, hoarding PoE and commodities until the ocean stabilized somewhat. Angels in the Midst flew the flag Massive Midnight Masts until a great sojourn of many crews from that flag occurred. Angels in The Midst chose to follow Bnavking and his crew No Batteries Required and joined a temporary flag called In Limbo. It was a fun flag and a good rest.
When it was time to pursue ocean wide goals and challenges we followed No Batteries Required to a newly created flag called Enigma.
The crew remained small and the captain wanted to have more responsibility and voting power in the flag. The crew only had four members and the idea was quickly dismissed, if not ridiculed.
Shellgames came across a dear friend and all that seemed to change. Cantik came and set things in motion. She brought with her amazing puzzling skills and her force of great puzzlers and battle navigators, including the amazing Nebula .
Within a week, Felt formerly Earlone of Midnight came along. With the addition of Felt the whole crew changed. It was nothing but pillage, pillage, pillage, and win, win, win. They got the war brig out and started to round robin the navigation duties. What a great time they had. Laotze and Decemberain joined soon after, two more amazing battle navigators (and puzzlers in general.) The crew became such a strong force on the ocean with these amazing pirates. The crew grew to 30-40 pirates in this time and on 8/18/8 became the #11 crew in fame.
On 8/16/08, Angels in the Midst played a vital role in Enigma's victory at Lilac Island. Felt, Laotze and DecemberRain all battle navigated, while Shellgames was executive officer. Much of the artwork and the flag intent video was created by Decemberain and most of the crew puzzled their hearts out.
The crew has become everything Shellgames had always dreamed a crew to be.
On August 18th, 2008, Felt, Laotze, and Decemberain, left the crew to create their own named Completely Offensive. The crew members of Angels in the Midst wish them the very best and thank them wholeheartedly.
