The Deadlights is the name of two different crews both founded on the former Midnight Ocean and on the former Hunter Ocean. They were founded by Crashdoom on 11 September 2010 and 1 September 2011 respectively. They are both dormant, independent, and currently exist on the Cerulean and Emerald oceans, again, respectively.

Promotion regulations
Requesting a full position
Pirates who would like to join the crew just ask the ship captain to send them a full member invite, and they should remember to say if they have any badges, you need a Pirate Badge to be promoted from Cabin Person*.
Cabin Person
This is probably the easiest thing to do, all pirates need to do is:
- Request a full position from an Officer
Pirate
To gain the first promotion pirates need to do the following:
- Purchase a Pirate Badge from any palace shoppe
Officer
This one is more complicated to do, pirates need to have the following:
- Officer Badge
- Own the deed to at least one ship (Negotiable)
Pirates also need the following experience:
Fleet Officer
This is one of the top ranks pirates can get in the crew, pirates need to have the following:
- Officer Badge
- Own the deed to at least one ship
Pirates also need the following experience:
- Achieve narrow on at least 5 puzzles
- and must have at least apprentice in Navigation
Senior Officer
The Senior Officer rank is reserved for close friends of the captain, and will usually not be given out to anyone else. However, under exceptional cases exceptions may be made to pirates that prove themselves.
A quick notice
Pirates should not request to be promoted unless they meet the above criteria, but are free to request promotions to a pirate of at least two ranks above them (e.g. Pirates can request promotions from Fleet Officers and higher)
Crew regulations
- Always obey the orders of the ship captain & crew officers
- Never leave a ship during a sea battle or face being dismissed or demoted
- Never go inactive during a sea battle or face being planked, demoted or even dismissed
- Remember to respect fellow crew members, treat them like the ship captain & crew officers would be treated
- If crew members job for another crew, treat them like pirates in The Deadlights
- More importantly: Have FUN while sailing for PoE and Glory upon any ship while ye be in The Deadlights crew!
Officer regulations
- Officers are free to use unlocked ships
- Always restock any ships used. Minimum of 20 rum for sloops & 30 rum for other ships
- Remember to be tolerant with greenies and teach them if they don't understand something
- Do not attack weaker PVP ships, if an officer gets Black Shipped then they will need to face the punishment
