Iceholes is a crew on the Emerald Ocean in the flag Twisted Parallax.
History
Iceholes was originally founded on the Sage Ocean by Tro on 21 Dec 2008. The crew grew rapidly, and less than three months later, on 17 Feb 2009, Tro founded the flag MORGANS REALM, with Iceholes as its monarch crew. MORGANS REALM would become a perennial top-ten flag on Sage. For the next year the flag boasted fine crews, high fame, and high activity rankings, but by the spring of 2010 it had entered a period of stagnancy, reduced to Iceholes and at most one or two other very small crews. This, combined with Tro's gradually decreasing motivation in the game, led to his abdication from the captaincy of Iceholes, handing the position off to Narcky in September 2010.
Under Narcky's captaincy the crew began to be approached by some of Sage's larger flags of the time, including Black Flag, Green Flag, and Magnata Established. At the time, Narcky had been concerned that MORGANS REALM's comatose state was stifling the growth of the crew, and had been seriously considering the offers. However, in the end, and at the poking of longtime friends Rives and Yourcharm, he decided to join the then relatively-unknown flag Twisted Parallax on 23 Nov 2011. Knowing that Tro had a natural longing to be with the flag that he had created, Narcky did his best to keep the old captain satisfied, but to no avail. By the next week, Tro had left the crew due to interpersonal relationships with the new flaggies and had rejoined MORGANS REALM as monarch and captain of the crew ACES, having left his alt and an alt crew in his old flag in case he should want to do something like that.
Following Tro's departure, the crew once again entered a period of decline. Pillaging had dipped, and many of the crew members who had joined the crew under Tro's tenure as captain had left for greener pastures. However, the crew barrelled on through the winter of 2010/2011, and, bolstered by the return of several older players including Arcadion, Sharte, and Sirwilli, as well as the merger of Spartacus' crew Once Upon a Dream into Iceholes, the crew had once again reached an upswing in size and activity. Today Iceholes proudly sits inside the top 10 crews on Sage, with a healthy population of more than 69 pirates. Iceholes is currently Twisted Parallax's most active and most populated crew.
Iceholes is also notorious as a "no-girls club", particularly within their flag. They consistently freak out at the sight of girls and become awkwardly and shy. Many, in the presence of a female pirate, will unexpectedly become itchy or have to go to the bathroom. A cursory study has been conducted on the female population in Iceholes, and it has been concluded that no more than 15% of the crew is female/highly effeminate.
