Ahoy! I was going through the recent changes, and I ran across the edits to Kiradathis. If you'd like to see the page history, take a look here, and I think you can see why it's sticking out at me :-/. I don't want to discourage you from editing, because it's good to see you putting so much effort into improving this page. However, it's always good wiki practice to get into using the Preview button instead of just posting stuff directly. That way, you know if you like what you're about to post before you actually do, and you can catch things like spelling/grammar, line breaks, formatting, and so on without having to waste time and effort making tons of minor edits. In any event, welcome to the YPPedia, and good luck in the future! -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 05:31, 16 March 2007 (PDT)

Thanks!

Thank you for the welcome. Sorry about the massive amounts of edits, Was running on empty and thought I would update our crew info, which lead to our flag info which lead to pirate info... eh, you get the idea! (lol) I was tired and although I was using the "Preview" option I'd hit the wrong button by mistake quite a bit. I am new to this, and when you are tired AND new, you tend to make a lot of mistakes. Sorry about making you have to look through all of them!

Glad to see the new pages and information. It is always welcome on the Yppedia! Just a couple of notes regarding your edits. When uploading images of pirates, please include the {{portrait image}} tag to the summary on the upload file page to prevent someone from having to go back and add this later. Over-capitalization and over-linking are two very common problems that regular editors of the Yppedia try and reduce. Ranks and titles such as senior officer, royalty, member, or navigator are not to be capitalized in the Yppedia. I realize they are capitalized in-game which is where this confusion lies. I can't say that there were over-linking problems but linking to an another article more then once is frowned upon. And for pages that don't exist but are included on other pages, such as for navigator, you can link to the page where it comes from like this, [[title|navigator]]. Keep up the good work, welcome and don't be afraid to ask for help! -- Cedarwings (t/c) 10:04, 16 March 2007 (PDT)
  • laughs* Thanks for your patience with me. I don't know how you guys do it, I can only imagine the kinds of 'leet speak or whatever that you have to sift through on a daily basis. I am still very unsure of the rules and regulations for posting to any wiki, let alone this one. If I make a mistake, let me know and I'll be sure to try not to make that mistake again. Thanks for the newest input, I will do my best not to link too many times and try and get my capitalization correct. (laughs) It's been a long time since I was in school. :D
