Editing pointers

Hoy there, when editing, can you make sure you always add a summary of what you've added to the but just above the save page. Also I'd suggest having a look at the preview before submitting the page so you don't have to make lots of minor edits in the space of a few minutes. Finally, can you also make sure that if the edit is something minor (adding/deleting a new sentence, typos etc.) that you click the "this is a minor edit" button as well as this helps sort through the pages a bit easier. Thanks in advance. --Whitemonkey 00:30, 12 November 2006 (PST)

New flag template

Ahoy. If you'd like to suggest an addition to the existing flag infobox template, please do so on Template_talk:Infobox flag. There is little point in your continuing to create a nearly identical set of templates for use by only one article, especially when the differences are so minor as to be a trivial addition to the existing template.--Fiddler 21:10, 12 November 2006 (PST)

Please check Fiddler's talk page for additional comments from other editors/administrators. Also, it may be a good idea to take a quick look at YPPedia:Editors' Code of Conduct. --Guppymomma 06:27, 13 November 2006 (PST)

Talk pages

The wiki is not the correct place to post crew-stealing accusations. Keep it to the Parley forums or PMs. --Barrister 23:40, 2 January 2007 (PST)

Double redrects

Please take care to avoid redirecting to a redirect page, such as War Frigates. The MediaWiki system is unable to deal with a redirect to a redirect page. It should be redirected to the article needed. --Piplicus 08:01, 13 January 2007 (PST)

Also please tag the redirect pages you create with the appropriate tag. The one you should be using is {{R from plural}} and you can see a list of others at YPPedia:Redirect. --Guppymomma 09:36, 13 January 2007 (PST)

Repeat links

According to the Wikipedia manual of style on links, there is seldom a need to link multiple times to the same article, let alone within a single section. Only having one link to an article helps reduce the effort required to update links. -- Faulkston 09:43, 20 May 2007 (PDT)

I thought about that but it had happened in the article already... ROCKAB88M 11:44, 20 May 2007 (PDT)
