The Taming of the Crew is a distillery located on Winter Solstice, in the Diamond Archipelago of the Midnight Ocean. It has been operated by Wildrose since September 2005.
The Taming of the Crew was placed as part of an in-game shoppe naming competition held on Alpha Island. Pirates entered unique shoppe names during the competition, then shoppes with the winning names were auctioned off. The pirate who named the shoppe received a naming bonus in the bidding war. The Taming of the Crew was purchased by the flag Looterati. After Looterati colonized Jorvik Island, the flag sold the shoppes it owned in the Diamond Archipelago.
