Adding {{clear}} to the stub templates
I keep seeing the clear template used just above the stub templates, I was thinking we should add the clear straight into the stub template and the other stub templates. I can't think of a reason when we might want the stub line not get pushed below below the infobox on a page, and it would both save typing on new pages and tidy up older ones. – Covenant7 (t/c) 08:47, 1 March 2007 (PST)
- I did think about this a while back. Good idea. -- Thefirstdude 08:55, 1 March 2007 (PST)
- I'd agree with this. I sometimes forget (well... often is probably a better word) to use clear before as well, so this would help! --Whitemonkey 08:56, 1 March 2007 (PST)
- Could someone please do this? It would also fix all the pages that currently have just the stub tag without the clear. Thanks. -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 19:38, 12 April 2007 (PDT)
- It's been moved. The only potential problem I see is if the {{piratestub}} is not at the bottom of the page, like it wasn't for Ralffoxx. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 22:45, 12 April 2007 (PDT)
- It should be at the bottom of the page in any case - if it isn't it should be a {{sectstub}} (Usage). Thanks, in any case; there are a bunch of other stubs as well that could use this. Possibly a Category:Stub-template to make it easier, like there is for User page warnings? -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 22:57, 12 April 2007 (PDT)
Adding "how to use" line.
Apparently, the usage of stub templates has been hard to understand for some newer editors. Would it be possible to add a line similar to the following to the usage notes? "To add this template to a page, simply put {{Piratestub}} at the end of the pirate article in question." I added the line to some other stub articles, but this one is protected.
