Template talk:Infobox building

Now that we have default template parameters, I'd like to see an infobox building that took the following parameters. I'm not sure how to do it yet, but here's the features I'd like to see.

Required fields:

• ocean
• arch
• island
• owner
• type (enforced to actual building types)

Optional fields:

• upgraded (yes/no) (default to no)
• facing (left/right) (default to nothing shown)
• managers (up to 5) (default to nothing shown)

The template would auto-categorize to: [[Category: <ocean> <plural of type>]]. This might involve a little trickery involving "apothecaries". --Barrister 13:10, 30 June 2006 (PDT)

Very nice. A couple more ideas: 1) Change "upgraded" to "size". Acceptable values would be "regular", "upgraded", and "bazaar". Default would be "regular". 2) Add an optional screenshot. I'm strongly in favor of the first, but less attached to the second idea. --Barrister 21:57, 30 June 2006 (PDT)

"Dusted" Buildings That No Longer Exist

Would it be possible to add a field to this template for dusted buildings that no longer exist? It could appear after "Erected", maybe, and list the date that it finally "Dusted"? Just a thought! --Lilly 23:31, 28 December 2006 (PST)

Template not working right for Bazaars??

I just noticed that the builing template is acting a bit weird for Bazaars. Maybe some of the recent changes with the adding of the dusted parameter made something different? As an example take a look at Pacific Potions, I've checked a few more bazaar pages and they all have the same problem. --Cecidrake 19:36, 28 February 2008 (PST)

Template code

Can I suggest the template code itself be included in the usage notes? Similar to Template:Infobox pirate. It makes creating an infobox much easier if I can simply copy it out of the usage notes than trying to find a page which uses it. --Belthazar451 20:52, 6 June 2008 (PDT)
