Template talk:Featured article header

From YPPedia

Ahoyas! Can't the icon be a little bigger or somehow more significant to a feature article? It just feels like the Pi symbol in the movie "The Net" (1995). Pressing ctrl + shift while clicking on it does nothing though! --Arminius 12:47, 23 October 2007 (PDT)

The size probably could be adjusted a bit larger. Not sure what you mean by more relevant though, can you be more specific or give an example of what you'd want done? --Guppymomma 13:12, 23 October 2007 (PDT)
Perhaps "relevant" was not the right word to use. I was thinking about something not as ubiquitous as a pirate flag, which can pretty much mean anything in this game. Maybe stylize and enlarge the jolie rouge a bit more? Maybe put it on a black star (á la real wiki, whose star btw is also too small and bleh)? I'll warm up the ol' photoshop engine later today and make a couple of drafts to see if they are of yer liking. --Arminius 05:26, 24 October 2007 (PDT)
I threw together the animated jolly roger as used in the game client and am testing it on the featured art header. Take a look at Image:Art-Cedric-romance1color1.jpg to see how it looks. --Fiddler 03:30, 2 March 2008 (PST)
Cool, I like it. Very snappy. -- Muffynz(t/c) 09:47, 2 March 2008 (PST)

Proposed fix

This template overlaps with any image that's placed at the top of an article. I'd suggest the obvious easy fix (mockup below) - transclude it as a simple image using wikitext, obviously this template being the first thing entered into the article:

<includeonly>
Clear
</includeonly>
<noinclude></noinclude>

Can anyone see any problems? the answer seems almost too simple... --Therobotdude 18:55, 15 July 2014 (PDT)
