A sword is one of the two weapons a pirate should never be without. The sword is used during pillaging at sea, during tournaments and challenges on land, and when facing Atlantean dragoons.
New players start with a foil, but other swords can be purchased at iron mongers. Each sword has a different drop pattern that determines what blocks will be sent to an opponent during a swordfight. All drop patterns have advantages and disadvantages, but some are better than others. Players often select swords based on their style of swordfighting.
