Talk:Tale of Gemini
Eh? I think both of these complaints should be backed up with examples of what is wrong.
POV: what is the issue here? The article seems to state what happened without applying much point of view at all. What specific POV elements are you asking to have removed?
Writing style: O rly? Need examples of what you see is wrong.
Seems to me there is undo sniping at this article. --Dbavirt 11:39, 15 February 2006 (PST)
- The {{cleanup}} tag is necessary for grammar errors like, "more shoppe auctions were needed, but limit some of these to those flags which did not already own any". There are also a few spelling errors, "Davey" should be "Davy". Most importantly, the linkages are in need of cleanup. There are numerious duplicate links. For example, "Gemini" should be linked exactly once, not three times. Same for "House Atreides," "Axes and Alloys," "Cleaver," and "shop/shoppe." One or two of these issues alone wouldn't be a big deal, but the collection warrants a {{cleanup}} tag. Until someone fixes them, of course.
- As for the {{NPOV}} tag, "thus endeth the Gemini Tale of Stupid" kind of sums up the issue. This page exists to attack a player. On its face, that's likely to be non-neutral in most cases. Further, in this case, I don't see the encyclopedic value of this story. Other than his rant on the forums, did Gemini do anything of note? He only made 20 forum posts, and most of those are in the thread about the shoppe auctions. To be clear, I'm open to persuasion that this has historical value. But right now, this just looks like a minor episode. --Barrister 12:54, 15 February 2006 (PST)
- The article needs to clean up the grammar, I'll grant that. The episode was important to the Knights, however, as it wiped out a large hunk of their blockading supplies and they were never able to recover in time to make any pushes early in the game, regulating them to support roles early on. It wasn't on the scale of some of the issues in the game, but it was definitely a major issue for KotOR and, for the flag, deserves mention.

Cleanup / POV
Well, I cleaned up a bit and removed anything that might be considered offensive to the person in question. As for the article itself Barrister, I got the text from a long time player, edited what I could at 4am, and even though this might seem little or of no importance to you, it was so to the flag. Does it deserve a page of its own? Maybe. However if there is more disagreement on the importance of the event, we could move it to flag KotR and be done with it.--Arminius 13:22, 15 February 2006 (PST)
- I'd think it would be more appropriate to have this in the history section of Knights of the Republic because these events as mentioned above were very important to the flag. As it stands with a separate article, I'd argue that it's essentially a vanity pirate article using a name other than just the pirate name. --Guppymomma 13:26, 15 February 2006 (PST)
- Moved it to KotR (flag) article. Somebody mark it for deletion.--Arminius 13:33, 15 February 2006 (PST)
- Done. Thanks for working with us on this. I think it's a good solution. --Barrister 13:35, 15 February 2006 (PST)
