Talk:Radio Free Cobalt

  • Oppose - how is this any different then the Shanty Raid-io page? If it belongs then so does this. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 19:29, 16 March 2007 (PDT)
  • Oppose - same reasons above. It could stand to be fleshed out though...but then again so could a good number of pages. --Thunderbird 21:04, 16 March 2007 (PDT)
  • Oppose - same reasons above. This is a page that will grow in complexity and detail, as the resource does--as happens all the time in wikis. --Slacksmarin 23:22, 16 March 2007 (PST)
  • Oppose - Same reasons again. This is another resource for players just as Shanty Raid-io which is listed on Yppedia. --WolfElvendar 12:19, 17 March 2007 (PST)
  • Oppose - Same reasons above. This is very useful, gives a different audio than the sound effects in the game, which can be VERY annoying at times. However, I do not feel that this should be just one radio for the entire ocean, but for the one given flag, and all other flags, if they can, should create their own station, as Trust has. --Koichi 11:22, 17 March 2007 (PDT)
Everyone seems to have missed the point. Although a cleanup really should have sufficed, this page suffers from some serious lack of content. There are also some neutrality issues to do with the Trust flag. In any case, please check back. -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 12:54, 19 March 2007 (PDT)

Keep the radio station

I don't understand why this is even a question. There are lots of third party things listed and they are linked to the people who put them together. Trust is making a radio station for fun. It isn't for money and it isn't about anything but fun. If people can say what boats they own, or how many blockades they have done, or how many paaarties they attended, why couldn't a flag mention that they have put their time and money into a fun radio station that is just about this game? Shanty Raid-io has been doing it and they are a great time when they are broadcasting on pillages. Unless the idea is that Shanty is the only radio station allowed, then this should be allowed or you should tell Trust they can't even have a radio station. If you guys do that, I think a lot of people will be shocked.

You, my friend, completely misunderstand. No one has anything against the radio station, just the wiki page. There is a certain standard expected of pages listed in this space - I consider this page borderline, after the edits I made. -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 12:54, 19 March 2007 (PDT)
  • Thefirstdude - I think you may have missed some of what that last poster meant. I think the his argument, admittedly a little immature in construction, is that there has been an un-contested third party tool called "shanty raidio" for as long as I can remember (and I assume for him/her as well) and it wasn't under consideration for removal. The idea that this page shouldn't be here suggested (to me) that there must be some qualitative difference between Radio Free Cobalt and Shanty Raidio. If not, why would there be ANY reason to consider that this is even borderline? What Trust is doing is (at the risk of damning them) pretty much the SAME thing that Shanty does...why the dual standard even in your final conclusion that this is "borderline". Slacksmarin
I am sorry, but you seem to continue to miss my point. My concern is about the article; I frankly have no interest in the Cobalt Ocean, yet alone Trust's radio station. -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 12:25, 20 March 2007 (PDT)
In any case, this article now makes me happy :) -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 12:27, 20 March 2007 (PDT)
