Extinct route ??
Before I continue this update onto the other "extinct" routes for Cerulean, I'd like to get confirmation on something first:
Can someone "new" learn these routes? (Presumably, with help of someone like Fannon who memorized these routes back on Midnight before the merge.)
If so, then I'll need to undo that edit and restore info on that extinct route (while still omitting the 2008 history that was specific to Midnight). If not, then I'll instead need to continue these edits and remove those other extinct routes from Cerulean's other islands... Thanks. -- Franklincain (t/c) 12:39, 28 August 2012 (PDT)
(Edit) adding notes 1,2,3... -- Franklincain (t/c)
- You cannot mem them but they can still be charted so still technically exist. It apparently wasn't obvious enough by looking at any of the pages so I'll point it out- we made the decision to keep all history intact for each island on the "new" ocean pages. It should not be removed. Before starting any such large scale project, you need to run it past an admin to make certain that you are both doing it the most efficient way and doing something that actually needs doing. --Fannon 13:23, 28 August 2012 (PDT)
- Fair enough. In that case, I'd like to add a new article (or a new section in an existing article, as appropriate) for "Extinct route(s)" (as opposed to the old/obsolete Training routes, which are a different form of lost league points) to explain this to any and all who come along later with these same questions. ;-) If this is to be a new subsection, would this belong to the article on Memorization (with an appropriate redirect pointing to that new subsection)? Thanks! -- Franklincain (t/c) 13:27, 28 August 2012 (PDT)
- It already exists: Extinct league point. -- Muffynz(t/c) 13:30, 28 August 2012 (PDT)
- Ninja-ed! ;-) I was typing a new note, acknowledging that I'd just found that very article, when the wiki told me that someone else (you) already updated this talk page. :-D I'll go ahead and create the relevant redirect (alternate name). -- Franklincain (t/c) 13:32, 28 August 2012 (PDT)
