Talk:Might ring

From YPPedia

Is this info still accurate with the recent releases? --Yaten talk 08:10, 1 April 2006 (PST)

Probably not; slap on a "this informatin may be out-of-date" label, and wait for someone to do some research on it? (Or maybe just a stub label; it could be that the bulk of it is fine, but we need new data on how the might rating is generated.) --Emufarmers 08:31, 1 April 2006 (PST)
Actually, the page appears to still be correct, mostly because it doesn't contain very much information to begin with. --Barrister 15:36, 1 April 2006 (PST)
Let's stub it, then, in the hopes that somebody someday gathers data on how it works? --Emufarmers 16:03, 1 April 2006 (PST)
So far i have only seen the might change with how good they ships bots or players are at there duty stations and by how many there are ( of course if there is more overall there doing better ). So that leads me too believe that this information is correct but not 100% sure.--32083 16:15, 1 April 2006 (PST)

I've tried to add some info pertaining to the recent releases...Barrister was right, it remained accurate simply because it had so little info. A few things this still needs: I'm not 100% if ship size is a factor in might ring calculations, I think it isn't. Also, I'm not entirely sure how greenies factor into might rings now. -Darkaardvark 11:28, 4 June 2006 (PDT)

outdated brigand king info removed

since brigand kings are now handed out as expeditions from the May 18, 2010 release http://yppedia.puzzlepirates.com/Release_2010-05-18

Might ring changes

I undid the previous edit because it appears to reference things that might happen after winning battles. It has been said many times that future battles adjust based on past battles. If green ships always meant the same might with the same pirates aboard your own ship, then we wouldn't really have a booty ramp to speak of, since booty is based on the skills of the brigand/barbarian ship attacked. --Thunderbird 21:37, 23 March 2012 (PDT)
