Crew info page
OOO added new relase of the crew info page putting the ranks into three columms.
- I changed the crew picture to reflect shanghai points, and the new crew sort format. Sashamorning 11:18, 21 December 2006 (PST)
I fixed the URL formatting for the final example URL in the Pirate section as it needs to not have any quotes in it. However, in going back and looking at the history, I found that the initial revision which added this information: http://yppedia.puzzlepirates.com/index.php?title=Info_page&oldid=297061 had it correct and--to my eye--was much more illustrative by using bold for the parts of the URL that one replaces.
The next revision http://yppedia.puzzlepirates.com/index.php?title=Info_page&oldid=297117 introduced the incorrect example and put the URLs in <nowiki> tags which basically turned the bold formatting into literal three apostrophes.
I don't know why the <nowiki> tags were added, so I don't know if they should be removed. The information now is at least correct, but I think it would look better if put back to the original formatting if there's no specific reason it shouldn't be.Ricketyjohn 19:28, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Pirate Lookup Example
This conversation was reheaded for accuracy and disambiguity.

- The <nowiki> tags simple keep the address from being an actual link. Seeing how its providing an example to the instruction of how to use the browser to lookup pirates on the Yoweb through copy and pasting to the address bar, it might be better served to leave it be. -- Haywoodx(t/c) 19:37, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- Going to the original page in the history, the URL was not being treated as a link. When one uses copy/paste it works either with the formatting of the earlier page or with the non-formatted/nowiki tag. I'm using with IE 7 on Windows. I don't know if it's treated differently in other browsers -- Ricketyjohn 20:44, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, when the URLs made their first appearence they already had the nowiki tags, save that they only enclosed the first h in http. Basically, just enough so that the wiki software stopped recognising it as a link. Typed-out URLs are automatically recognised as a link by the wiki software, viz: http://www.puzzlepirates.com

- It's not clear to me why Amoyer expanded the nowiki tags to encompass the whole URL, and I don't really see any reason not to change it back. --Belthazar451 22:23, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Houses in Info Pages
I know for a fact that not all houses are displayed on a pirate's info page at all times. Jamesh on Hunter is an example - I know that he is a roommate in at least 5 different shacks, but that does not show up on his info page. Since this is (probably) a rare occurrence, should I bother trying to figure out exactly which ones are shown and update the wiki accordingly? Jlh0605 11:59, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
