Should the public wiki include notes about a pirate having "mental issues"? Seems a bit... tacky, but didn't see anything specific in the guidelines. --Pauling
- Given that it looks like Horror himself added it, I think it's open to interpretation. I do agree that it's not especially encyclopedic, but if he himself explains it that way, there's something to be said for verbatim transfer. :-/ --Ponytailguy 21:33, 14 May 2006 (PDT)
- It would probably come down to how relevant it is to the game. With Looseweed, his eccentricity was significant, for instance. The "mental issues" described in this article are perhaps better left unmentioned, though; maybe it should just stick to "left for personal reasons." I think we generally want to leave any particulars of people's personal lives out of articles, except perhaps in drastic cases like what happened with Barnie. I don't think that the fact that he put it in himself really matters, because...Well, pirate articles shouldn't be blogs. --Emufarmers 21:38, 14 May 2006 (PDT)
- I don't buy any of that. Why water down valid content (and I refuse to accept that furnishing less or less specific content will improve the Y!PPedia), that the person in question himself put in place (so clearly causing offense is not an issue), for no reason whatsoever? "It's not a blog" is cute but irrelevant; he's not using the Y!PPedia to list his top 10 Meryl Streep movies or be a Cleaver fanboy, he's using it to (legitimately) explain his reasons for leaving as specifically as he's comfortable.

- Perhaps that entire sentence or two can just be shortened down. I think it's a bit long winded and all it really needs to say is 'Horror suddenly left the game, but later informed a friend he'd been suffering from mental problems and had left for personal reasons.' - I don't really check this thing too much because I tossed basic info for people to know, I'm a cocky bastard and could have wrote "MWAHAHAH IM THE MAN!" everywhere, but I thought constantly the best I could and wrote all info that came to my mind (having read Wikipedia alot and seeing they include every detail) But Ponytailguy couldn't have said it better. I knew better to go into detail, and it doesn't hurt me to say because I can not help it. I don't mind any edits -ever- made to my article, but I just figured that giving a reasoning for why I left is better then saying "personal reasons" because then some people might think "what personal reasons?" I don't want any questions left after reading this which means I need to add some more info, but this isn't my month to do so :P
- On a side note I would like to remind you all I suck at wiki stuff and have no idea what I am doing and without zava I couldn't have even typed what I did, so I would appreciate, if somone cared enough, to give me a sort of mini interview, to delete/add some things to this and finally clean it up, but I don't expect it to happen too much.
