Talk:Dream class sloop

NPPs aboard

The NPPs aboard this ship are identified (currently) as a drunken sailor and a "dream" sheep.

Q-1: Does the term "dream sheep" mean that the sheep is phantasmal/ghost-like (i.e. a dream-shade)?

Q-2: Is the drunken sailor also such a dream-shade? Or is he "material" (i.e.: not a ghost)?

Thanks. -- Franklincain (t/c) 13:19, 18 June 2014 (PDT)

Q-1. The sheep is a dream-colored sheep, as described in the article Sheep (pet), and were available from the Palace Shoppe in spring 2014.
Q-2. The drunken NPP is not a sailor, he is a rumjug. As such, he is rumjug colored, wields a falchion, has one goofy eye and one eye patch, "XXX" for a mouth, and brown boots. He falls over a lot. He is definitely material, not ghostly, and not dream-colored. The drunken NPP on this ship I found is named "Fuddled Henry". Chupchup 21:12, 18 June 2014 (PDT)

Rumjug -- one word? or two?

According to the results of some searching I did on Google, it appears that the more appropriate / more correct spelling would be to use two words: i.e., "rum jug"...Change it (here and on "non-player pirate") -- aye, or nay? -- Franklincain (t/c) 12:58, 19 June 2014 (PDT)

Didn't receive any counter-arguments or objections. So I've fixed it. -- Franklincain (t/c) 08:47, 22 August 2014 (PDT)
Aye, thank ye. Jlh0605 11:58, 22 August 2014 (PDT)
Oh, didn't notice this. Before you go "fixing" the spelling, did you check how the game spells it? Viz: Rumjug. --Belthazar451 16:00, 22 August 2014 (PDT)
It is also spelled "rumjug" in the game files. Chupchup 17:59, 22 August 2014 (PDT)

What exactly does the Red Room refer to?

Some quick googling got me multiple results when looking for information about the "Red Room". In fact, Wikipedia has a disambiguation page with 15 different results for Red Room. When Budclare initially put the red room link in, I had no idea what it was. I looked at the link, and assumed that's what the room in the ship referred to. However, I now think it's far more likely to refer to an H.G. Wells horror story. I have no proof for this. So here's my question: Should we link to a specific red room in the text as we do now? If so, which one? If not, should we put such information in a trivia section?

I readily admit to being only a quarter century old, and as a result, many cultural phenomena are unknown to me. If there one specific red room that it's obviously referring to, then by all means, let's point to that. Jlh0605 15:48, 21 August 2014 (PDT)

Yes, that is A red room, but not the only possible reference. If it is the more popular one, then sure, we can stick with it. I'm just not a good judge of "most popular". Jlh0605 11:58, 22 August 2014 (PDT)
Take a look at the red room on the ship and the red room in the movie clip. The floor tiles on the ship were specially made to match the room in the movie. As Dexia said on the forums, "I keep waiting for that Guy to get up and start dancing..."
Alright, I'm a culturally illiterate young 'un. I'll go with that. Should we link to the movie clip anywhere in the page? Perhaps a trivia section? Jlh0605 17:11, 22 August 2014 (PDT)

Why is the video a no go?

This edit removed all references to the video about accessing the red room. It appears this happened because the page was edited from an old revision, specifically this one (the re-addition of the Trivia tag with no information seems to lean to this. Was the removing of the video link intentional? If so, why? If not, I'll edit it back in. Jlh0605 01:02, 13 September 2014 (PDT)

Oh, sorry, I guess I did edit an old revision. Totally not on purpose. Chupchup 12:27, 14 September 2014 (PDT)
I figured that's what happened. I just didn't want to create an edit-war by putting it back in if there was a reason it was taken out. Jlh0605 00:35, 16 September 2014 (PDT)
