Spelling

Cheque or check? --Nicksterv 22 July 2005 00:27 (PDT)

Cheque is Commonwealth English; check is American English. Either/or, but in this context, it's not a problem to use either. On major articles like labor, there should definitely be a redirect and usage note for labour. —Yaten 22 July 2005 00:30 (PDT)

Redirects

I'm supporting the idea of doing redirects from the very often used misspelling of dubloon. There is a redirect category specifically for misspellings and the redirect would be very beneficial to the player base since it's so frequently misspelled that way. --Guppymomma 12:17, 22 November 2005 (PST)

I am in agreement. I know in an ideal world, we shouldn't need it, but the utility of the redirects outweighs the somewhat superficial dislike to redirects due to bad spelling.--Piplicus 12:22, 22 November 2005 (PST)

As much as it goes against my usual grammar wishes, I'd have to support a redirect, too. It's such a common misspelling, and our visitor base is looking for information first. If it helps them spell the word correctly, I'm all for. Wikipedia does it for certain terms, as well—Redirects from misspellings. – Yaten talk 13:50, 22 November 2005 (PST)
/em pouts, but gives in. I'll be checking the page regularly to see if anyone mistakenly links to it. --Barrister 20:48, 22 November 2005 (PST)

Tournaments

"and through small prizes in Ocean Master sponsored tournaments." Has anyone actually seen doubloons given away in this manner? Is this even technically possible? A player cannot create such a tournament. Chupchup 13:40, 5 August 2013 (PDT)
