Shantybones is one of the original player island designers, and has influenced many of the newer island designers and hopefuls with his expert style. He has also recently led the search for new island designers with the Fantasy Island Contest, where 17 new island designers were found[1]. Island editor aside, he is frequently found in The Mariner's Muse.
Contributions and awards
Shantybones is one of the winners of the Design the Oceans Contest.[2] His excellent design work can be seen at the following islands:
- Cook Island, on the Emerald and Jade oceans (as well as on the retired/merged Sage ocean)
- Ix Chel, on the Emerald and Opal oceans (as well as on the retired/merged Hunter ocean)
- Kirin Island, on the Cerulean and Meridian oceans (as well as on the retired/merged oceans of Cobalt, Crimson, and Viridian)
- Messier's Crown, on the Emerald and Opal oceans (as well as on the retired/merged Hunter ocean)
