Sage Outcasts is a dormant flag on the Emerald Ocean.

History

The Sage Outcasts was founded by Fearlessphil on the retired Sage Ocean on the 21st of June, in 2006.

The flags original aims were to blockade but it struggled with fame from lack of pillaging. The flag did however get into 2 wars with Seven Deadly Sins and Eriss Dark Followers. Both wars were easily won by Sage Outcasts mostly due to the efforts of Fireydeath.

When Basset Island opened, Fearlessphil wished to attack it. Unfortunately, up to three hours before the actual blockade, Sage Outcasts did not have sufficient fame to drop, so Fearlessphil enlisted the help of the flag Cold Steel and their monarch, Volatile. Cold Steel won the blockade, although Fearlessphil paid for it all out of his pocket, and threw in a few war brigs to sink for a laugh. After winning the island, Volatile suddenly quit the game, and left his friend, Beniowski, in charge of the flag, crew, and island. He then posted on the forums that he was selling the island, which of course, Fearlessphil found annoying, as it was effectively his PoE he was gaining.

The island was bought by Go with the Flow and they held an event to trade it. Shortly afterwards, Fearlessphil learned that Quixotic Tangent was attacking Admiral Island, so Fearlessphil agreed with them that they would pay for his war chest to drop on Basset, in an attempt to pull the forces apart a bit. Of course, with Sage Outcast's less than experienced blockade navigators, they ran out of ships to be knocked out of the non-sinking blockade and had to pull out.

Fearlessphil left the flag to join Wingedhussar on his Admiral Island campaign, and left a vote up for Euan to be monarch. There were three royalty in the flag, Fireydeath, Capnkillr and Lordcrump. Capnkillr and Lordcrump voted for Euan to not be monarch, and instead for Lordcrump to be the monarch. Euan left the flag as well, and so it remained in Lordcrump's charge for the best part of a year. Lordcrump strove to make the flag strong.

When Fireydeath later left the flag due to boredom, the flag's fame took a sharp turn downwards. The flag struggled to gain power or influence due to inactivity of the monarch Lordcrump, who was also the captain of the flag's main crew, but eventually it fell dormant.
