SATISfaction was a crew that sailed the Sage Ocean. The crew currently flew the flag of Chat Filter Required.

History of SATISfaction

SATISfaction was founded on August 27, 2007. The captain had been at a crossroads in her previous crew and flag, finding that integrity and loyalty were not always rewarded and decided a change was in order. There are many pirates out there who excell in many aspects of the game, but do not get the recognition they so richly deserve, and in the end walk away dissatisfied. So a crew was created, SATISfaction, a small group of individuals who believe in playing the game a certain way and look at recognizing the diamonds in the rough we have within. The flag they fly and co-founded, Chat Filter Required, was made with the same goals in mind. It's a bumpy road, but progress has been made already! We are not actively recruiting, as we firmly believe in quality over quantity, but if you are interested in joining the crew, feel free in contacting any officer online.

Public Statement

~ SATISfaction! ~

  • We're a fun group of people who like to puzzle, do the merchant thing, play poker... basically whatever suits us. We'd like to think of ourselves as organized chaos, and so while we don't require you to do anything in particular, it's not a free-for-all. We try to make all decisions as a crew, but are realistic enough to know it's not always feasible.
  • There is no requirement to join, aside from a good attitude and an open mind.
  • Please know that you will NOT be assigned FO or higher immediately upon joining, simply put, because we don't know you yet.
  • Time in crew, loyalty, joining crew pillages and flag events are the best ways for us to get to know you and in turn for you to get promoted.
  • If you'd like to join, just seek out an officer in the crew to join you up.
  • Our chat can tend to run along the mature yet humorous side... so be warned!
  • P.S. By general consensus, no huggles allowed - licking and heavy petting strongly encouraged. 4 HH

Promotion Information

  • Promotion rules are very straight forward. Unlike many crews, we promote pirates by their commitment and attitude rather then stats alone. Helping out in crew or flag run pillies is a great way to show your support while raising crew andflag fame.
  • To become a Pirate in the crew, you simply need to put forth a decent effort in joining crew pillies or helping out in other ways when you can. Some stats would help but of course not everyone is good at the puzzles so seeing that you put forth a decent effort through your experience will help alot. (Once ye recieve your promotion to pirate, this does not mean you have free reign over the guns on any crew ship. The only time anyone can man guns on a pillage is if asked specifically by the Officer In Command or OIC).
  • For promotion to Officer you need to show that you are more serious in helping push the crew to meet it's goals. Some experience in the Duty Navigation and Battle Navigation puzzles would also help to show that you are serious about sailing or at least being able to manage a ship. It would be nice if you could read up the Pirate Bible also known as YPPedia (www.yppedia.puzzlepirates.com) to know how to properly maintain a ship.
  • Nobody will recieve promotions to Fleet Officer or Senior Officer when they first join unless they are known and trusted by the Captain and/or Senior Officers. This is a spot that requires time and dedication to get to and simply owning a ship won't prove that you are trustworthy.
  • The role of Captain is already filled.
