Perseverance was a pillaging flag on the Cobalt Ocean that was created on December 24, 2007.
History
Over a 6-week period in the fall of 2007, Deadly Sinners, Reapers of Souls, and Schroedinger's Cat found each other as equal partners to join in future crimes on the high seas. The founding crews decided in favor of a representive oligarchy as each founding crew got two royalty to emphasize joint decision-making and flag-ownership. In late February of 2008, Essence of Kraken joined this evolving pirating enterprise as did a war crew, Perseverance Pays.
In the aftermath of a war declaration issued by Sea of Fire, a vote to expel Schroedinger's Cat from the flag succeeded on April 13th, 2008 after Mutton steped down as Royal. If this resignation affected the outcome is in dispute.
On April 14th, 2008, former Royal, Bkrazy and Gingercookie merged their crews to Non Compos Mentis.
Events
The flag conducted its first 24-hour brig pillage on February-1/2, 2008 with in-flag bnav/XO teams. Perseverance placed second in the Cobalt Cannonball Run event(5-09-08), hosted by Dcyborg and competed in Diastrophe Island giveaway (6-22-08), hosted by Polaris.
