Public statement
I can't believe it's not butter!
I could have sworn it was butter! But no cholesterol!!
Low in saturated fat
100% canola/soya oils
Great for baking, topping, frying, spreading, pillaging, and blockading.
80% more Titles than the average flag!
This flag was retiring. I encourage all pirates who love the game to always stir the water a bit when you can. Be a pirate, do something different, sail the oceans free of the establishment. And most of all, play for as long as you're having fun! My best to all the pirates in the ocean. Foilistc
The history of the creamy goodness
A few months after the start of Imperial Pillagers, Foilistc and his crew were tired of being dock pressed to join random flags and realized how much of the game they were missing out on by not being able to declare war and blockade. Imperial Margarine was initially started as a joke by Foilistc, and he made all the officers and above a titled member. The name stuck, however, as did the tradition of promoting to titled member all of the officers and higher in every crew to come into the flag.
Originally only the crew Imperial Pillagers flew the navy and yellow flag of Imperial Margarine as a solely pillaging band of scallywags. The mission statement always was "to enjoy the pirate game by being pirates, not politicians." Imperial Margarine sought out to be different than any other flag in the ocean. While they wanted to be politics free and have fun pillaging and participating in blockades, they soon began to attract not only talented mates, but mature players who were tired of the politics game as well. Shortly after the start of Imperial Margarine, Black Tower jumped in and Flight was made a prince of the flag.
As Foilistc's 500k Brig Pillages, which quickly became known as Foilages, became more popular, more and more players and crews wanted to get in on the fun and joined up. Imperial Margarine wasn't built to blockade to acquire islands for herself, as the leaders decided they never wanted to see Imperial Margarine become a dying island sitter. Instead they were a declared mercenary flag, up for hire for any blockade and available first come first served to any flag which agreed to pay the fees upfront.
There was a period on Cobalt where no blockades were happening, so bored and eager to start some action again, the idea of a 4 way blockade began to materialize. PoE started to be pillaged and saved, mass orders of rum and cannon balls went into production, and war ships filled the queues at the shipyards.
All was going as planned until there came the pvp which would change the path of 2 flags forever. Loading up one night for the usual Brig Foilage on the Disagreed Sawfish, word came that the Reservists of Hurricane had a war frigate out on a pillage. Foilistic didn't need any extra incentive to engage in a pvp as it was, so the Sawfish was rerouted to where the Reservist's frigate was out pillaging. A good fight was fought, Imperial Pillagers won the battle, and all hell broke loose from a livid battle navigator who was at the time the monarch of Hurricane. The result of that evening was a change of blockading plans, and a week later Imperial Margarine dropped their first war chest on Terra Island, which was owned by Hurricane.
After several other blockades the 4 way (4 islands on the same day by a single flag) blockade took place on October 7th of 2006 when IM successfully took all 4 islands, Ansel, Labrinth, Olive, and Viridis from the flags Hydrophobia and Anonymity. It was the first time a single flag has taken 4 islands on the same day in the history of the game.
