Disconnection

A pirate who has disconnected.

Disconnection is a term for what happens when a player loses the connection to the server in one of various ways. This includes an outright loss of connection and the client software crashing.

Players who are disconnected display a broken wire activity icon above their heads. When a player disconnects, all of the players in the current scene are notified. Players who are puzzling are removed from their puzzles upon disconnection. Upon reconnection, any jobbing invitation that had received but had not been answered by the disconnected player will reappear on the ahoy panel. Players who do not reconnect after 15 minutes will be logged off.

Pirates who attempt to send a disconnected pirate a tell will be told that they cannot because that pirate has been disconnected for X minutes.
