Crimperio Alliance

The Crimperio Alliance was one of the largest alliances of 2004 on the Midnight Ocean, during what was often considered to be a particularly polar political environment. The alliance was between two of the largest Midnight powers at the time - Crimson Tide and Imperio, whilst Tyr's Own and The Jolly Company comprised the other founding members. The physical manifestation of the alliance was an alliance web, in which all of the contributing flags were allied to one another, the name "Crimperio" existing in the social sphere of Y!PP only.

Founding and roots

The origins of the pact came from the fact that Tyr's Own and The Jolly Company were Imperio's allies, who at the prompting of Parthanos met and joined forces with Crimson Tide to attain mutual protection. The alliance web was also intended to provide an alternative and an opposition to Rudder Revolution and Nyx's Scions. Designed to be a force of war and change, the alliance eventually evolved into the common format of a group of island holding flags who defended each other against attack. Later, as Rudder Revolution split and began to fade, the political opposite to the alliance was generally regarded more to be RAWR, although conflict between the two groups was never really more overt than at the Crimson Tide verses Nyx's Scions battle of Turtle I.

The Decline

Eventually the alliance grew stale, as Bifnot of The Jolly Company moved away from Y!PP, Imperio experienced a major coup and Thanos retired from Midnight politics. The original vision of the alliance fell into decay or became redundant in Midnight's political environment. However, Tyr's Own maintained the idea, and part of the old 'Crimperio' alliance was reformed during the second incantation of Imperio.
