Time for deletion

Is there a fixed period of time for which a deletion is decided? Some of these articles have had the proposition up for some time. --Thunderbird 20:24, 13 October 2005 (PDT)

No fixed time, but I'd think it's safe to guess that nobody opposes it if there's not a peep on the talk page or an attempt to make the content better/worthy of an article after more than a month or two. --Guppymomma 10:43, 18 October 2005 (PDT)

Backlog

There are two entries on this page today, one has been here since 2009 and the other since 2011. Does anyone patrol this category, or are we supposed to exclusively use speedy deletion? {{d}} ^(Usage) Chupchup 19:20, 19 July 2012 (PDT)

No clue what the lingering proposals are about, but it's definitely still being checked by someone. I proposed two pages for deletion (One speedy, one not... although in hindsight they probably both qualified for speedy. C'est la vie.) about a month ago?
