Depth and Ease of Use

It occoured to me while editing housing subcategories for sorting... that using many nested categories like this makes it harder to use. For instance, try finding housing on Cobalt: it will take you some time to realize that there's only 1 Villa and a few Shacks. I think an easier way is to categorize the building articles all as being in [[Housing:<ocean>|<building-type>]] so that they all appear on one page, sorted by type. No... this is not true, since the auto generated list would be sorted by the first letter only, and not show "Bungalow" but simply "B". Further, all Cabins and Cottages, as well as Manners and Mansions, would be lumped together. Perhaps there's a way around this. — Callistan ^{(talk/contrib)} 02:16, 23 August 2005 (PDT)

An easier way to use the system would be great. However, it's important to keep everything sorted by both ocean and housing type. People want to know where the villas are on Midnight, not all oceans.  :-/ --Barrister 04:05, 23 August 2005 (PDT)

Absolutely! If that wasn't clear in the inital comment (I left ocean in the category) it should have been. Unless they continue to be separated by ocean, putting all types on the same page would be a step backwards. — Callistan ^{(talk/contrib)} 05:47, 23 August 2005 (PDT)
