Mystery box

A mystery box is a wrapped present given away as part of a seasonal or other promotion offered by Grey Havens. A mystery box will contain a randomly-determined item (most often, this will be an article of clothing; less often, it will be a trinket; sometimes, it will be a pet or other valuable prize). For the seasonal promotions, this item will be of the color for that seasonal promotion.

Promotional box
A promotional box is a one-time use miscellaneous, in-game item that will grant a pirate pieces of eight when opened (similar to a piggy bank). Most promotional boxes will contain between 400 and 4000 pieces of eight each, with a small chance of a payout of 100,000 pieces of eight.
