Absit Invidia is a crew that sails the Meridian Ocean. It was founded by Trilan and Clarityy on the 5th May 2010, who share the Captaincy by alternating each month. The crew created the flag What Were We Thinking on the 19th December 2010.
Absit Invidia is based upon the following principles:
- Respect - Absit Invidia. Let ill will be absent. - We're all here to help and support each other, and grateful for the times we share.
- Integrity - You are whole. We are one. - Remain true to yourself. If something doesn't sit well, tell us (the Captain or Senior Officers).
- Opportunity - Give and receive opportunity. - When you have time, ask if anyone is pillaging / needs assistance and provide it (crew, flag, then whoever).

Crew Policy
We believe in common courtesy, respect your fellow players and be polite and helpful towards them, we have very few written rules as we like to encourage people to play and enjoy the game. Although if someone's behaviour does not stand well with you, tell us and we will do our best to sort it out.
Promotion Requirements
Promotions within Absit Invidia are based upon a number of things and not simply your skill and experience in puzzles. A pirate joining our crew, can expect to enter at pirate level during / at the end of a pillage - and then work there way up, we offer a Officer Test before promoting to Officer, but you can read more about this in our crew info.
For brand new pirates to the game, to better spot and assist
Standard starting rank unless you're new to puzzle pirates. (requires a few broads/standings of proficient at least).
Broad in: Sailing or Rigging, Carpentry, Bilging, Gunning, Navigation - and a basic understaing of Battle Navigation, Officers must have a decent knowledge of pillaging and be able to run a successful pillage. Additionally anyone Officer above is expected to share Flag Officer chat announcements as and when they happen, to anyone unable to read them in the crew.
This position requires a large amount of trust, consistency in your participation and actions, and at least one recommendation issued by a current fleet officer and up
This position is hand picked by the Captain and current Senior Officers. It is a privilege, not a right.
