Varnish is produced at apothecaries and used to create furniture. Though it is listed in the game as a basic commodity, it must be created at player-owned shoppes or stalls; it is not found at any commodities market nor on merchant brigands.

- Hemp oil: 12 units
- Nettle: 1 unit
- 1 hour of basic alchemical labor
