Silly Symphonies was formed in October 2006 when the crew The Melodic Forte parted ways with Shake ye booty.

Events

Silly Symphonies hosted a scavenger hunt in July of 2007. The number of those that entered was lower than hoped but all that did join said they enjoyed it thoroughly. The players of the Scavenger Hunt were required to find the answers to 100 questions that were posted on Silly Symphonies' flag website the day of the Scavenger Hunt. The questions ranged from the simple (What is the largest type of ship called?) to the considerably harder (How much Hemp can an unstocked Merchant Galleon hold?). Many had never heard of the Yppedia before our event and were glad to know that so many answers could be found there. All in all though it turned out very well. Silly Symphonies

We have every type of pirate imaginable from pillagers, to dock tarts, parlor pirates, to merchants, even forum lurkers. This flag is home to any kind of personality! We work together to make our flag the best it can be, and to enjoy the game to the fullest.

*Note* Silly Symphonies will not jeopardize our merchants and new officers by returning a War Dec. If you think that your island holding flag will hurt our merchants you are wrong - we have several ways around that. Thanks for understanding.

SS royalty/titled members

We are looking for pirates that are active, show leadership, and willing to help the flag to fill these spots. Pirates that do not exhibit these qualities may be turned away from a royal/titled spot.

Titled and Royalty spots will be assigned according to the way that the individual crews decide. This does not mean, however, that sitting royals and titled members cannot veto a potential royal/titled pirate.

*Note* Crews with less than ten active people will not be eligible for a royalty position.

Royalty

Royalty are generally the captains of the crew and their most trusted Senior Officers. Royalty Positions will be distributed based on crew numbers. The more people in your crew, the more royalty positions your crew will have.

Our flag has come up with an equation to keep crews well represented and the in-game vote reasonable.

Monarch (Any crew) + (Total Number of active population in Flag / Number of Crews / 10) = Total Number of Royals (Rounded up)

No matter what this equation comes out to we want to make sure each crew over ten has at LEAST one royalty in addition to whoever is monarch to represent them. So while this equation may not be completely accurate with current flag numbers it will act as a guideline for determining royalty positions.

Titled Members

Titled Members are people that are active in the flag and trusted by the sitting royalty. A crew can have as many titled members as the sitting royalty allow.

Allies

Alliances should be requested at our flag forums by a member of your flag who has registered with their pirate name. Ploute and Brighteyez specialize in alliances, however, you can contact any royalty member if you have any questions.

New Crews

Silly Symphonies has come up with a website of expectations for all crew members. We have these expectations in place to avoid misunderstandings and conflicts. If you are interested in joining the flag, please view this website first and then talk to a royal of the flag. They can invite your crew.
