We are a crew banded together in song, drink, and pillaging! Feel free to raise your mug and join us in our plunders throughout the Midnight Ocean. Be ye new, we'll teach ye the ropes. Be ye old, we'll make fun of yer age! Or perhaps we'll just make ye bilge. So come one, come all, to The Melodic Forte!
History
Origins
The Melodic Forte was started in August 2006 by Brighteyez and Ploute. Originally part of Fifth Fist of th'Misfits of Tyr's Own, some bad blood with the captain of that crew resulted in a break. Mortus came with them and the three of them formed the nucleus of a fast-growing crew.
They recruited primarly via large war brig pillages. Shortly after The Melodic Forte's formation, a crew that had been cast adrift by its captain merged into them, supplying the fledgling crew with several dependable and experienced mates.
Flag Membership
The crew was initially approached by two flags seeking new members. They first chose Shake ye booty (SYB) and were an active part of that flag for several months. Some significant policy differences arose among the member crews of SYB in October 2006, and as a result, The Melodic Forte left to form the flag Silly Symphonies.
