Russell
Russell is a pirate who sails the Midnight Ocean and has always loved a good fight. He is currently a well trusted senior officer in the crew The Handsome Crew, and a lord of the flag De Nederlandse Marine. His home is the Diamond Archipelago and has always preferred Turtle Island as his home port. He has one rat, whose name is Waffle. He has never been really rich, often having to save PoE for long periods of time to purchase anything of high value. (ships, ect.) His main goal on the game is to posses a small fleet of ships and be captain of a respected crew.
Accomplishments and Contributions
He hasn't had many significant accomplishments, but he did contribute an image of all of the ships in the game aligned in order that they are shown in shipyards. All of the images were taken from the YPPedia. The image is shown below, though note that it was created before the release of the longship and the xebec.
Biography
Russell started playing Puzzle Pirates in early January of 2005. He subscribed less than a week after he started playing, during the time when non-subscribers could only play for a week. He joined the crew The Jolly Beggars, which was captained by Buckingham, whose first mate was Lechuck. He later created his own crew with the help of Buckingham and Lechuck. His new crew's name was The White Whalers, in honor of Moby Dick. The crew possesed two ships, a sloop called the Easy Blowfish and a cutter, both painted white with blue railing. He now tends to bounce from crew to crew, but has found a good home in The Handsome Crew.
Ships
The first ship Russell owned was a sloop called the Easy Blowfish, painted with white sideboard and blue railing. The second was a cutter, painted in the same way. Later he sold these two ships to buy a merchant brig, which he eventually sold. He later bought another sloop, which sank in a blockade defending Turtle Island. Much later he bought a sloop called the Long Pickerel and painted the railing blue, but sold the ship for 9,000 PoE to buy the newly released dhow. He bought a dhow for 27,000 PoE, and painted the railing white and sideboard blue. This ship was mistakenly taken in to an event blockade and sank with only Russell aboard. It has not since been replaced.
