The Puzzle Pirates Trade Profiteer is a third-party Windows-based application for collecting and analyzing commodity market information from the islands around the various oceans. It can be used to determine profitable commodity trade routes. It is developed and maintained by the Colony West Software Company, a sole proprietorship owned by Arcturis.

The project was initially announced on the forums on October 19, 2008. The first beta version was released July 4, 2009.

Differences from other tools

One key difference of this tool from others like it is that it is a complete standalone application. It is not a client application that connects to a remote server (YARRG). This also provided the ability to include other features.

The Trade Profiteer also supports the Jade and Opal oceans out of the box and the Spanish and German interface languages as well. It has been reported that, as of February 2013, YARRG does not support Jade or Opal while the Pirate Commodity Trader with Bleach! system had limited for Opal.

This tool does not support Dark Seas because it is not compatible with Steam.
