The name Garra de las Aguilas was suggested by Seadogjoe, the founder of the crew. It means "Claw of the Eagle" in Spanish.
Garra de las Aguilas was founded by three brothers: Seadogjoe, Rudy, and Killertigger. They wanted to have a peaceful crew, so they didn't join a flag for a while. Soon they decided that they would not get any crew members without a flag, so they joined Infierno De los Diablos.
They soon found themselves in the middle of a war, and they did not have many ships and they could not pillage for fear of losing a ship. They set off to find a more peaceful flag; their fourth brother Rudoc (who decided against joining their crew, but founded his own, The Riskbreakers) pointed them to The Armada of Angels and they loved the flag immediately, and there they stay to this day.
