Black Rum is a crew that sails the Viridian Ocean. The crew currently flies the flag of RiddleMakers.
History of Black Rum
Black Rum was founded on 12 March, 2006. The crew name is based on the song "Old Black Rum" by Great Big Sea.
Under the guidance of its previous captain, Madme, it grew in fame, and became a prominent crew within the RiddleMakers flag.
On 15 July, 2006, The Malevolent Misfits, under command of Buffsrule, merged into Black Rum.
Due to real life circumstances, Madme stepped down from command in early 2007 and promoted Merkuto to captain to continue the Rum's tradition.
On 18 July, 2007, Merkuto passed the captain's hat to Phaedroa, knowing that she can do the job the way a Rummy should. Shortly after, Phae was called to serve the Dark Horizon crew, while Mad's wife, Zarine, returned to the Viridian ocean where she guides the Rum in full carousing tradition.
Public Statement
Hoy me hearties! Welcome to the Black Rum crew. Following the rum pirate code (drink all ye can, leave nothing behind!), we are an old salt crew known to raise friendly ruckus across the Viridian.
We are always willing to take on a stowaway swabbie once ye’ve proven your salt pillaging with us. Our motto is pillaging daily, carousing always. However be aware that we’re here to enjoy the pirate life as it was meant to be: however we WANT it to be! Yarrr!!!
If ye be interested in becoming an Officer with us, let us know. We’re happy to train pirates interested in becoming the newest terror of the sea. However be forewarn! Our (in)famous final Officer test ain’t fer the timid (me grins…)
