Azure Ocean

The Azure Ocean was open during the alpha and beta testing periods of the game. Users were allowed to play for free during that time. When Three Rings began to sell subscriptions, the Midnight Ocean was opened and Azure became the temporary test server, until it was shut down and replaced by the Ice Ocean.

The layout of the ocean is similar but not identical to Midnight's. Both have eight archipelagos with fifty-nine islands.

Historical Notes

Azure has been the only ocean to be expanded. Originally, only the Diamond Archipelago existed. Emerald was later added for player colonization. (Diamond was entirely Ringer administered untill the island auction on the last day of operation.) Sapphire and Pearl were added for foraging. The final four archipelagos—Ruby, Coral, Jet, and Opal—were added late in Beta during the second round of player colonization.
