Guava was the very first island finished in the first wave of player colonization, due largely to the preparations made by Rifkind and Frederico, who had shipped all the supplies needed for colonization well in advance of the actual transition of the island into player hands. As it was the only fully-functional Emerald island for some time, it gained a considerable popularity that suffered little in the waves of expansion that followed.
