Therobotdude (talk • contribs) – Therobotdude has over 2000 edits and has shown dedication to the wiki. He has done a great job in cleaning the gunk of the wiki, but I believe he could do even more if he had administrative powers. Guipsp 16:11, 12 July 2014 (PDT)
- Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: I accept.
Support
- I wholeheartedly support this nomination. Therobotdude has been tireless, friendly, and efficient since he began editing here. He has a good temperament with the ability to maintain a cool head in disputes. He has extensive knowledge about what this wiki needs and how to provide it. And he is a very active user. He is the ideal choice for the job, so there is no question he should get it. Chupchup 16:27, 13 July 2014 (PDT)
- Of course, as the nominator, I support. Guipsp 03:19, 14 July 2014 (PDT)
- I support this nomination as well. Therobotdude has put a lot of effort into the wiki, and has exemplified the ideal of 'See a problem? Fix it!'. He is also very willing to discuss matters when an edit is called into question, and I agree with Chupchup that he keeps a cool head, even when it's his edits called into question. Additionally, I think he's far and away the best active editor of YPPedia that isn't already an admin. I see no reason why he shouldn't be made one. Jlh0605 10:45, 15 July 2014 (PDT)
- Support. I agree with the reasons enumerated above. (And I'll find it amusing for him to become an Admin in time for his one-year anniversary of his YPPedia activity.) -- Franklincain (t/c) 14:09, 15 July 2014 (PDT)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
- A. I would make minor fixes to protected pages (typos, grammar, links, etc) as I've already done across numerous Gameplay/Terminology articles. Additionally, I am interested in organising a new series of featured articles to feed the main page, and admin rights would speed up the process of getting an article up there once the article's been peer-reviewed. As an active user, it'd also be useful to have me around in admin form to address cases of severe disruption/vandalism, weird deletion/undeletion requests and so forth (and I'd finally be able to clean up the small mountain of speedily-delete tagged pages I've left behind!).
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to YPPedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A. The swordfighting drop pattern article was one of the first I worked on, in response to players who just wanted to know how a drop pattern worked. I also enjoyed working on spades and hearts, making their layouts consistent with that of the poker article; again, I have known people who would not play the puzzles (particularly spades) because no clear breakdown of scoring was available. Finally, I make edits all over the place in response to ongoing greeter chat questions, since it's important that the wiki continues to provide useful information that players want to know.
