Avatar Uploading
Hidey ho. Thanks for sharing your avatar work on the wiki. There are a few things we do to help artists' work become more accessible & easier to find amongst the 6,500+ file uploads that we've had so far. The first has to do with what the filenames are. For avatars, the format of Avatar-Artistname-filename, where artistname is the forum name of the artist and filename is the original filename given to the artwork. The second thing is to add a sorting tag to the summary when first uploading a filename. In the summary field enter {{Avatar|artistname|recipientname}}, substituting the forum name of the artist for artistname' and the forum name of the user for username. Make sure to the forum or account name for these fields, as the avatar template will create links back to the forums with these names. If you have already uploaded the file once, reuploading it will not change the text. To change the text in that case, click on the "edit" tab on the top of the page while viewing that image's page. For more information, take a look at Avatar#Avatars_on_the_YPPedia or feel free to ask me any questions here. --Guppymomma 18:59, 17 September 2006 (PDT)
