Ahoy there! Thanks for experimenting with YPPedia. Your test edit (or edits) worked, and has been reverted. Regarding images on Stormmutant
Ahoy! Just a couple of notes on the images you've been uploading recently. Images for infoboxes have a specific filename they require - for pirate article images, it should be Pirates-piratename.jpg (in your case, it should thus go at Image:Pirates-Stormmutant.jpg) and for flag article images, it should be Flags-flagname.jpg (again in your case, it's Image:Flags-BIG WIGS.jpg). You'll find the image naming system on the YPPedia style guide.
As for your pet and trinket images, we actually have templates that reproduce the appearence of the in-game inventory boxes. You'll find them in Category:My pet templates and Category:My trinket templates. Give me a bit of time and I'll add them to your page for you, so you can see how they work. --Belthazar451 17:55, 5 June 2008 (PDT)
- I spent a long time typing in all my pets and trinkets like the template, but did not get to appear right in the preview. Sorry I do not know where the sandbox is yet. I am reading the style guide and trying my best to follow all the rules here. I do not want to make work for you. --Stormmutant 17:58, 5 June 2008 (PDT)
- It won't look exactly identical to the in-game image, but we can get it pretty close, and we prefer the use of the template rather than images. It's much easier to add a new pet to a template than it is to an image. I'm creating the pet template now so you can see how it looks. You'll find the Sandbox by clicking on the linked words "the sandbox" in my first comment above. I'm sorry if I sould like I'm coming down on you - you've been doing a great job on your page this far, so keep it up. =) --Belthazar451 18:20, 5 June 2008 (PDT)
- Cedarwings and I have done up your trinkets all nice and pretty for you. As per the YPPedia pirate page policy, you'll find it on a subpage called Stormmutant/Trinkets which is embedded in a show/hide box on your pirate's page - if you wan't to edit your trinkets, that's the page you'll need to edit. One of the good things about doing it with templates is that you can rearrange and rename the trinkets however you like - for example, if you want to separate the trinkets into spearate sections depending on what they're for (such as BK trinkets), that's easy to do. Have a look at Santhiago/Trinkets, Hawkings/Trinkets and Everclearboy/BKcollection for some examples. --Belthazar451 22:43, 5 June 2008 (PDT)
Thank you for all your help! That is a lot of work and I appreciate the time you took to make my pages look awesome! --Stormmutant 03:32, 6 June 2008 (PDT)
