User talk:Scrappyilse

From YPPedia

Heya, You're welcome to leave me message here :)

Lists of ships

Ahoy - just to let you know that lists of standard-named ships are not currently allowed on the wiki (as per this policy); however, lists of non-standard-named ships are perfectly fine. Also, I believe that aggregating ships by type (e.g. pirate B owns 12 cutters, a sloop and a frigate) is also fine. With that in mind, please could you go through User:Scrappyilse/Ships and make adjustments? Thanks. --Therobotdude 02:38, 11 September 2014 (PDT)

As I understand it, it is indeed NOT allowed on PIRATE pages, but since this is not a piratepage, but a USER page, it IS allowed. I've even seen exactly this issue confirmed [here] by [Belthazar451] who's the administrator here. So I can keep this list and thus will NOT remove it. It is exactly why I made it a part of my USER page and not of my PIRATE page, since Chupchup told me it couldn't be kept on my pirate page. My Pirate Scrappyilse does not have this list. But I guess it's confusing, I see that, because I've got the same username as one of my pirates names. Scrappy 04:33, 11 September 2014 (PDT)
Ah, well all's fine then, sorry about that. I just noticed the page and thought I'd better alert you, but as you say it's in userspace. Perhaps a note saying so on the policies page would be worthwhile. As it stands, I don't agree with that policy anyway - I mean, ship lists are out but trinket lists are allowed? But that's a story for another time :D. --Therobotdude 04:59, 11 September 2014 (PDT)
It's all good :) And I do agree with you about the weird policies about what is allowed and what not. Indeed, if a list of trinkets is allowed, why not a list of ships? Scrappy 06:23, 11 September 2014 (PDT)

RE: the note you left on my talk page

A very belated "you're welcome. :)". --Budclare2 05:04, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
