From YPPedia

Ahoy! Please do not edit other people's User pages. They are not subject to the vanity policies, since they are in a separate namespace (and thus don't show up on searches by default). --Thunderbird 21:45, 23 March 2006 (PST)

The YPPedia is an encyclopedic work. It is not a directory of pirates across the oceans. That said, there are some pirates noteworthy enough to be included in the YPPedia. Monarchs, governors, captains, island designers, and winners of familiar contests all fall into this category. Other pirate entries can be included, but an explanation of why that pirate is notable must be included as part of the article. Administrators and the community will watch to make sure this guideline is adhered to. If your pirate does not meet these guidelines, please use your user page instead of creating a new article.

I suggest reading what you quote. I bolded the part that you seem to have missed. He is following policy by using his user page. --Thunderbird 21:50, 23 March 2006 (PST)
User pages are the pages that start with User:. Anyone can put whatever the heck they like in their user page (within reasonable limits, of course). They are not treated like pirate articles. The reason for differentiation in the policy is that the User namespace is not included in the default search, only the main article namespace is. Clear as mud, right? ;) --Thunderbird 21:57, 23 March 2006 (PST)

Rebeviper

As we no longer have a notable pirate policy, and as user 'Rebeviper' doesn't exist, I moved User:Rebeviper to Rebeviper. If you'd like it to be your user page, instead, please feel free to move it to User:Evilbob71. --AtteSmythe 09:33, 7 September 2006 (PDT)

Portraits

Ahoy! Just save your preferred portrait to your computer's hard drive. Then upload it as Pirates-Rebeviper.jpg, and allow it to overwrite the old file. Put the tag {{portrait image}} in the summary field, and that should do it. --Zava 16:00, 7 September 2006 (PDT)
