Veled started play on September 22, 2005, on the Sage ocean. She is currently a citizen of Greenwich Island, though she started from Wensleydale.

Veled is an Officer and Drunk of the Buccaneer Birdies, notoriously for her compulsive gaming behavior in the inns, and is often referred to as "Plover" by her crewmates. Despite her admittedly low rank and preference to pillage the parlor tables rather than the high seas, Veled considers herself the 'third branch'of the Buccaneer Birdies.

Her signature vessel is the Open-Minded Pollack.

As an officer of the Buccaneer Birdies (conferred September 27, 2005), Veled runs short pillages from Greenwich Island to local islands in the Pelican Archipelago and back. Longer trips (possibly between archipelagoes) will be possible as Veled pillages new maps.
