Crew Info | |
The Vicious Fishes was a well-known crew that sailed the Hunter Ocean and was based mostly in the Orion Archipelago. The crew was originally devised by Remnant on April 12, 2010 and founded the flag Blood in the Water. The Vicious Fishes grew in numbers quickly, and within a month became the top ranked crew of the Hunter Ocean, as well as the home for over 400 pirates.
The Vicious Fishes is also the first and most successful character-based crew on the Hunter Ocean. Unlike most crews who base promotion exclusively off of stats and numbers, The Vicious Fishes instituted a unique and more efficient way of basing their promotions within the crew. The practice is simple: judging good pirates not based on how many broads they've collected, but instead their personalities and individual capabilities, thus allowing pirates who may be weaker at duty puzzles still find their place and become successful within the crew. This method allowed for the crew to be home to all sorts of pirates, and not pillage exclusive.

The Horcrux Era
After conflicts within the crew rose, Remnant decided to break from the game and the title of Captain was eventually handed down to Horcrux, who worked closely with the senior officers to compensate for the loss of their most vicious fish. After settling the disputes and re-organizing the crew, Horcrux passed the torch down to his most trusted Senior Officer, and good friend of both Remnant and himself, Lunett, and remained as a Senior Officer.
The Lunett Era
After Lunett became Captain, The Vicious Fishes were working hard to return the crew to it's former glory. With the help of her right-hand man, Kingmet, TVF was on the rise again. TVF became more involved in flag politics (most notably the war between Slimbottom and Xanover) and maintained a status of "eminent" on the Hunter crew rankings, however, after months of struggling to manage a crew on top of her out-of-game responsibilities, Lunett found leadership too much of a burden, and passed the crew down, leaving shortly after, and demoting herself to a casual player for a while before going on a complete hiatus for nearly a year. She still remains in contact with most of her Vicious Fishes.
The Kingmet Era
After Lunett's departure from the crew, Kingmet took over for a brief month before handing the crew back to Remnant and starting his own crew. During this time, the crew slowly became more and more inactive, as well as dropping the character based promotion system and other small changes.
Disbandment
After the crew returned to the hands of Remnant, it was agreed upon that is was time to put The Vicious Fishes to rest. After a powerful run, The Vicious Fishes disbanded in the Winter of 2011.
